Scheduling Policies & Etiquette

Steven Mathew requires an advanced notice of 24 hours or sooner when cancelling or rebooking hair cut, colour or hair extension maintenance appointments, as well as no less than 2 weeks for new hair extension installations. Each appointment has been set with a predetermined amount of time in order to create an ideal salon experience for you. If you are unable to make your appointment time, please let me know as soon as possible so I may free the spot for another guest.

To provide the best service possible, I am always working hard to stay on schedule and make everyone happy. If arriving late, please expect to have the service rescheduled or reworked to reflect the amount of time remaining so as not to interfere with following clients. 

No-show clients will be subject to a 50% charge (+tax) on any services missed without 24 hour notification. No Exceptions. Thank you for your understanding.


Hair Extension Fine Print

Any cancellation or changes to an appointment must be made in writing [via email to: hello@stevenmathew.com] no less than two weeks prior to the scheduled appointment date & time (if applicable). In the event you choose to cancel after this deadline, your deposit will be forfeited, as it takes time to order, receive, customize &/or prepare hair for installation. Once this process begins, no deposit refunds will be given. Please note that an attempt to cancel via any other means than in writing will not be considered sufficient. Upon completion, you will receive a written acknowledgement of said cancellation in return. It is assumed you, the client, wish to proceed on the date of your booked services should Steven Mathew Hairstyling not receive cancellation notice in the aforementioned time frame. No refunds will be given once a hair extension service has been carried out. No exceptions.


Home Care Maintenance

Should you choose to not follow the Home Care Maintenance instructions, you understand Steven Mathew Hairstyling cannot be held responsible. You also acknowledge that if the Home Care Maintenance instructions are not followed, Steven Mathew’s chosen hair extension brand(s), nor the salon location the application is carried out within can be held responsible.

Should you attempt to cut, colour, chemically treat or remove hair extensions at home or with another hairstylist, it may result in an undesirable result and cannot hold Steven Mathew Hairstyling responsible. Corrections thereafter will require an entirely new agreement with Steven Mathew Hairstyling.


Appointment Reminder Emails

As a reminder of your appointment, an auto-generated email is sent by Ovatu upon initially booking your appointment, as well as 24 hours prior to your service. This is a complimentary service replacing the old-fashioned "confirmation call". If you are not receiving a confirmation email, double check to make sure you have entered the correct email address, and when in doubt, check your junk mail folder to make sure it's not showing up there by mistake. Please contact me directly if you're unsure of a future booking and I'll confirm it. Please be advised that all new hair extension installation appointments must be cancelled prior to two weeks before scheduled appointment. No refunds on deposits will be given after this time. No exceptions.


Services & Pricing

Subject to change without notice. Prices listed per service are the base prices. Services are listed "a-la-carte" and may need to be added during your appointment to achieve a desired result.


What Personal Information Do I Collect?

StevenMathew.com uses a third-party software, Ovatu, to handle the requests bookings. While they do collect some personal information for booking appointments, Ovatu will not use your email address or other personally identifiable information to send commercial or marketing messages without your consent. For more information, please review their Terms of Service & Privacy Policy.

StevenMathew.com may however, occasionally send out correspondence pertaining to website updates or services/provider details.


Payment Methods

I gladly accept Cash, Interac Debit Card, Visa & MasterCard transactions.


Refund/Exchange Policy

I want my clients to love their hair as much or more than I do. All hair extension installations come with a complimentary 2-4 week follow up visit where we will have time to adjust the shape, or add more texture/layers to your new extended look. My work is also guaranteed only in conjunction with personal recommendations tailored specifically to individual clients needs including product, and at-home maintenance instructions.
